Key Charity Partners

3AW693 has played an integral role in the progress and success of TLC for kids, by running a series of hugely successful on-air appeals. These include
  • the launch of both the TLC Distraction Boxes in 2004
  • the TLC 500 club in 2006
  • and more recent 2010 appeal which raised over $70,000
In 2002 however, 3AW693 ran an appeal that proved to be the turning point in the charity’s history. We owe our very existence to the ongoing support of 3AW 693 and their listeners. We are truly inspired and appreciative of the unconditional generosity of our official Media Partner.

In 2010, 3AW693 & MAGIC 1278 ran an appeal for TLC for kids raising much needed funds for the free services we provide. Here is a short video featuring a few of the highlights.

The Electrical Trades Union (ETU) Victorian Branch came on board as a Foundation Sponsor early 2012. Their commitment and dedication to helping TLC for kids reach even more children in need is greatly appreciated and we look forward to working together over the coming years.

Since 2006, The Financial Services Foundation has raised tens of thousands of dollars and helped us fulfill over 100 Rapid TLC requests for children and their families.

Their ongoing commitment to TLC for kids and many other organisations, is an incredible testament to the power of working together to make a difference in the lives of those in need. TLC for kids thanks The Financial Services Foundation for their continued support and passion for the services we provide to kids in hospital.

Kmart came on board in 2010 as a key charity partner, announcing their decision to conduct an annual point of sale coin collection during the months of July and August. In its first year, Kmart's customers raised over $65,000 for TLC for kids. All monies collected during the appeal go directly to the national Distraction Box Program.

The coin collection initiative is an extension of Kmart's existing community program, which supports community groups with  fundraising activities and other projects so that they can continue to their vital  work. Last year, Kmart customers contributed more than $11 million to thousands of community groups across the nation.

Kmart has become an extremely important partner to us, and we are proud to be associated with such a community conscious organisation.
Toll Ipec has solely and without a spare thought, adopted the responsibility of TLC for kids’ nation-wide distribution, ensuring our services can reach any child within Australia at lightning-fast speed. Toll Ipec literally facilitated our national expansion in 2004 and since then, we’ve never looked back. Toll is the official Transport Partner and the heartbeat of TLC for kids.
