International Tracky Dack Day 2020
July 31 - August 31
On the last Friday in August (29th) Australians ‘dack up and donate’ by wearing tracksuit pants (‘trackies’) and fundraising for sick kids. This is an act of solidarity with hospitalised children, who are encouraged to change into trackies to lift their mood and create a more normal day-to-day routine.
International Tracky Dack Day was started by TLC for Kids and is a fun and easy way to help sick children and their families when they need it most.
The easiest way to fundraise is the classic casual clothes day, where participants wear their tracky pants to work, kinder, uni or school and make a gold coin donation.
However, there’s no limit to what you can do! Make it extra fun by holding a fashion parade, setting a challenge for someone who wouldn’t normally wear trackies, or bedazzling a pair of old trackies.
Of course, if the 29th doesn’t suit, you can choose any day in August to ‘dack up’.
