Office Warming Wrap-up

After finally putting some finishing touches on our Brunswick office, TLC for Kids invited some of our most instrumental supporters and contributors to have a tour of the space on Wednesday February 1st, 2017. We wanted to acknowledge the hard work of those who helped us get to where we are today. Almost twenty years ago, TLC for Kids comprised of two dedicated people working out of one small room to help as many sick kids as they could. Since 2016, with no small thanks to Matt Ciavarella, owner of Carrera Motors, we now call an expansive office space in Brunswick our home, with free solar-powered energy courtesy of a solar system installed by Enphase, Living Energy and Suntech. And, a much-needed reception transformation from IKEA Richmond has made the space vibrant and fun for the special little visitors who often make their way through our doors on the way to hospital.

It was such a great turnout, with old and new faces joining together in conversation to reminisce, as well as talk plans for the future. Among them were representatives from some of our major partners such as Kmart, 3AW, Citylink, Progressive PR & Publicity, Appeals Office, Carrera Motors and our solar panel donors, as well as new collaborators such as Samantha Krajina, who is helping spearhead our Geelong Affiliate. Guests were given a tour of our large office space, highlighting the unwavering generosity of Matt Ciavarella.

The night was such a success that his has spurred discussions about upcoming Information Nights, where we will be able to take small tour groups through our office and explain a little bit more about what we do here at TLC for Kids. There’s also another great opportunity to connect with TLC for Kids with the upcoming WestWaters Dinner. And, if you’d like to know more about how you can support TLC for Kids, check out how to get involved.

Once again, thank you to all those who attended, and we hope to see you all again soon!
