SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: Our 2016 Youth Ambassador!

TLC for Kids is super-duper excited to announce our 2016 Youth Ambassador – one of Tim Conolan’s personal heroes, Jesse Loschiavo!

TLC for Kids has known Jesse since he was 5 years old. He is now 13. Jesse has cystic fibrosis and, like many children suffering from the same chronic illness, TLC for Kids has offered ongoing help and support to Jesse and his family. In turn, Jesse has done so much for us in the way of giving back! It’s only fitting that he be our TLC for Kids Youth Ambassador.

Jesse has played a key part in so many of our campaigns and events, from gala events, to Tracky Dack Day, to Marawalk!

Jesse has also done a lot of fundraising on behalf of TLC for Kids. This includes his efforts to raise funds for this year’s Marawalk (as of today, he’s at $1,250)! On his fundraising page, Jesse says:

Hi everyone as you know I have been in and out of hospital my entire life due to Cystic Fibrosis. During the stays in hospital I have seen the difference TLC for Kids has made to kids like me. Over the past year I have spent more than 12 weeks in hospital. I can honestly say what put a smile on my face during one of the admissions was a visit from Tim; personally from TLC For Kids giving me a Collingwood Jumper and itunes voucher. This is just one of the many great things TLC for Kids do for sick kids.

– Jesse Loschiavo. You can support his Marawalk efforts here, even up to a fortnight after the event!

It means so much to us that Jesse goes out of his way to support TLC for Kids. We are so grateful to Jesse and his family for supporting us for so many years.

As Youth Ambassador, Jesse will be acting as the voice of all those children who need TLC for Kids’ help. This includes sufferers of accidents and burns; rare illnesses; abuse; financial hardship and family trauma; mental health issues; and long-term illnesses and conditions like Jesse’s.

We’re so excited for our next adventures with Jesse! Congratulations buddy.
