The Color Run 2017
We were lucky enough to be the Local Charity partner at The Color Run in Melbourne, held on Sunday 19th November 2017 at the iconic Flemington Racecourse.
We made a heap of new friends, with over 15,000 Color Runners in attendance! It was smiles all round as crowds gathered to check out our uber-fun activities:
- FOOST Smoothie bikes, complete with blenders, which allowed us to pedal and make our own smoothies at the same time. A big thanks to our good friends at LaManna Supermarket who kindly donated ingredients and supplies to make 2,000 smoothies
- Super-colourful TLC for Kids branded nail wraps were very popular and were provided by the lovely ladies from Jamberry Nails
- TLC for Kids temporary tattoos to add to the Color Runners’ outfits and an awesome photo board with our mascots Splidge and Splodge
- An amazing raffle with great prizes kindly donated by Great Ocean Road Coast Committee, Torquay Surf Academy, Yamaha Music Australia, and KEMIZO Laser Tag.
It goes without saying that TLC for Kids would not be able to take part in events like The Color Run without the generosity from so many individuals and businesses. We also have to say a big thank you to Complete Displays who provided us with furniture, signage and our awesome photo board all free of charge.
This kind of support means that all funds raised from the event can be directly used to help many children and their families all over Australia with our Distraction Box and Rapid TLC, so we simply cannot thank everyone involved enough.
We also need to thank all of our volunteers, as the day would not have been possible without them. Our volunteers all had a great time and are even on board to help out again at our next events!
