Tap 2 Distract offers interactive, playful and calming activities designed to provide moments of comfort, engagement and positive distraction for children, families and people of all ages.

Our aim is simple, to make practical support accessible during stressful, overwhelming or challenging moments, wherever people may be.

These Terms of Service explain the conditions under which you may access and use Tap 2 Distract, including its mobile application, browser-based activities and associated digital resources.

By accessing or using Tap 2 Distract, you agree to these Terms of Service to the extent permitted by applicable law.

2. About TLC for Kids

Tap 2 Distract is an initiative of TLC for Kids Incorporated, a registered Australian charity dedicated to providing immediate practical and emotional support to sick children and their families.

TLC for Kids was established in 1998 and provides services that help children and families navigate difficult medical and personal circumstances.

These terms also apply to downloadable resources, promotional materials and other free digital content made available through these services, unless separate terms are expressly provided.

Specific partnership, funding, sponsorship, donation or organisational arrangements may be subject to additional terms or written agreements.

4. Free access and availability

Tap 2 Distract is provided free of charge to individual users.

There are no subscription fees, in-app purchases or advertising within the core Tap 2 Distract application.

Users do not need to make a donation, become a member or purchase any product to access the free activities.

Some associated initiatives may offer optional opportunities for organisations or individuals to support TLC for Kids through donations, sponsorships, fundraising or other voluntary arrangements.

These opportunities are separate from free access to Tap 2 Distract.

While we aim to provide reliable and ongoing access, some features may occasionally be unavailable due to maintenance, technical issues, connectivity requirements, updates or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Certain activities may also differ between mobile, browser-based and other versions of the resource.

5. Intended purpose and appropriate use

Tap 2 Distract is designed to provide practical positive distraction, engagement and moments of calm through interactive digital activities.

It may be used in a range of everyday environments, including homes, hospitals, medical clinics, ambulances, schools, workplaces, community spaces and other appropriate settings.

Tap 2 Distract may be used independently or alongside existing care, wellbeing and support services.

Use of Tap 2 Distract is voluntary, and individuals may stop using an activity at any time.

Tap 2 Distract must not be used in a manner that creates a safety risk, interferes with essential activities or prevents timely access to necessary care.

Tap 2 Distract is a positive distraction and general wellbeing resource.

It is not a medical device, diagnostic tool, medical treatment, psychological therapy, counselling service or emergency response service.

Healthcare professionals and other qualified practitioners remain responsible for exercising their own professional judgement when using Tap 2 Distract alongside care or treatment.

7. Children and parental supervision

Tap 2 Distract has been designed to be family friendly and accessible to children, young people and adults.

We encourage parents, guardians, carers and responsible adults to support children in selecting and using activities appropriate to their age, development and individual needs.

Where supervision is appropriate, children should use Tap 2 Distract under the guidance of a parent, guardian, carer or responsible adult.

TLC for Kids grants users a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable permission to access and use Tap 2 Distract for lawful personal, family, educational, healthcare, workplace and community purposes, in accordance with these terms.

We welcome responsible sharing of links to Tap 2 Distract and the use of official promotional resources made available for distribution.

Schools, healthcare organisations, workplaces and community groups may share our publicly supplied promotional materials for their intended non-commercial awareness and access purposes, provided that the materials are not materially altered or presented misleadingly.

Any use of Tap 2 Distract branding for commercial endorsements, paid promotions, sponsorship representations, modified products or other purposes outside the permissions described above requires prior written approval from TLC for Kids.

Nothing in these terms restricts rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
