We believe that transparency, fairness and trust are essential to maintaining strong relationships with the people and communities we serve.

By accessing or using our website and associated online services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions to the extent permitted by applicable law.

4. Our charitable programs and services

TLC for Kids delivers a range of practical and emotional support services for sick children and their families.

Our programs include Rapid TLC, the TLC Distraction Box program, the TLC Ambulance service and Tap 2 Distract.

Services may have different referral processes, operational arrangements, availability requirements and eligibility considerations.

Rapid TLC

Rapid TLC provides practical support in response to requests from healthcare professionals on behalf of children and families.

Access to this service is subject to the relevant referral procedures, available resources and applicable program conditions.

Healthcare professionals using our dedicated referral systems must comply with the relevant program requirements.

TLC Distraction Boxes

Their use should be appropriate to the circumstances and consistent with relevant clinical, infection prevention and workplace requirements.

The TLC Ambulance program creates meaningful experiences for eligible children and their families, subject to relevant medical, safety, staffing, operational and logistical considerations.

Specific arrangements, permissions and conditions may apply to individual journeys.

Tap 2 Distract

Tap 2 Distract is a free digital positive distraction resource available to children, families and people of all ages.

It has its own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, covering the mobile application, online activities and associated Workplace Wellbeing and Communities initiatives.

Website information about our programs is general in nature and does not guarantee approval of a request or availability of a particular service.

Nothing in these terms limits statutory rights or protections that may apply.

5. Donations and charitable contributions

We appreciate every contribution and are committed to treating donors fairly, respectfully and transparently.

Donations may be made through our website, authorised fundraising platforms, bank transfers, regular giving arrangements or other approved channels.

Where possible, donors should ensure that their details and contribution amounts are correct before completing a transaction.

Tax-deductible donations

TLC for Kids is endorsed as a Deductible Gift Recipient in Australia.

Eligible donations may be tax-deductible under Australian taxation law.

However, not every payment made to a charity automatically qualifies as a tax-deductible gift.

Payments involving material benefits, including certain event tickets, merchandise, auctions or other purchases, may be treated differently for taxation purposes.

Donors should refer to the information supplied with their receipt and relevant Australian Taxation Office guidance.

This policy does not limit rights or remedies available under applicable law.

7. Regular and recurring donations

TLC for Kids may offer regular giving programs that allow supporters to make recurring donations.

By establishing a recurring donation, you authorise the nominated payment arrangement in accordance with the information provided during registration.

You may request cancellation or changes to a recurring donation by contacting TLC for Kids or using an available donor management facility.

We will process cancellation requests as promptly as reasonably practicable.

Please contact us sufficiently in advance of your next scheduled payment to allow time for processing.

We welcome individuals, schools, businesses and community organisations wishing to fundraise in support of TLC for Kids.

However, fundraising activities conducted in our name may require prior authorisation.

Before organising a public fundraising activity, individuals or organisations should contact TLC for Kids and complete any applicable fundraising approval process.

Where an event proceeds as advertised, requests for discretionary refunds will generally be considered if received before the published event booking closing date.

Any event-specific refund conditions will be communicated where applicable.

Cancelled or postponed events

If TLC for Kids cancels, postpones or significantly changes an event, affected ticket holders will be advised of the available options.

Depending on the circumstances, these may include a refund, replacement booking, credit or another appropriate remedy.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes consumer guarantees, refund entitlements or other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
